Armin van Buuren has released a new single and music video called 'Motive'. Watch the video below.

It's the Dutch trance star's first new music since completing his 'Feel Again' album trilogy in March. The single, which has picked up buzz through van Buuren's recent DJ sets like EDC Las Vegas in May, also gets an extended mix on the official release, out now via his Armada Music label.

“Although the notion of a motive refers mostly to love and heartbreak in the song’s lyrics, I think there’s a broader meaning to it that’s worth homing in on," Armin van Buuren said about the new track. “Sometimes, especially when you find yourself limited, numb or otherwise repressed, you’ve got to be honest and ask yourself what your own motive is. Gaining a new perspective could be key to overriding whatever it is that holds you back.”

Last month, van Buuren shared an AI-generated music video for 'Easy To Love', featuring Matoma and Teddy Swims, off the third 'Feel Again' LP.

Armin van Buuren has been celebrating the 20th anniversary of his beloved 'A State Of Trance' mix series, with the 20th edition dropping in May. There was also a multimedia exhibition at Amsterdam's Our House Museum earlier this year, and a London day festival at the Dockyards this past weekend.

This September, van Buuren will take over Sundays at Ushuaïa Ibiza with the return of his residency
