KERRI CHANDLER REEL-TO-REEL LIVE SET AT ROUNDHOUSE, LONDON

Featuring holograms and in-person performances from some of house music's most loved vocalists

Kerri Chandler recently performed a special reel-to-reel tape and hologram live set at The Roundhouse, Camden. You can now watch two hours of the set below exclusively via DJ Mag.

The New Jersey deep house legend brought his unique hybrid live/DJ performance to the North London venue at the end of last year. As part of the show, hologram performances from some of house music’s best loved vocalists appeared alongside real-life singers. Kerri spoke in depth with DJ Mag about the origins and innovations behind the show. You can watch the interview here.

Dubbed Kerri Chandler’s Spaces And Places, the six hour event was Chandler’s first ever public performance of his reel-to-reel tape DJing using four machines - a concept inspired by watching early House DJs like Frankie Knuckles mix on tapes when his career was still in its infancy.

The immersive performance was the first of its kind to utilise Panasonic’s new projection technology - mapping live projections tailored to the venue’s round interior as well as holograms of vocalists from some of house music’s best known tracks.
