DRUMSHEDS, a new 15,000 capacity venue, will open in North London this September.

The cultural space, presented by Broadwick Live (the team behind Printworks, Beams, Field Day), will be located in a large warehouse in North London’s Meridian Water zone, and boast a carefully curated programme of live music, culture, and arts.

Set to open in the autumn, the venue will precede the previous DRUMSHEDS space, which closed permanently last January after a closing event hosted by The Hydra, featuring b2b sets from Ben UFO & Joy Orbison, and Four Tet & Floating Points.

Spanning 608,000 square feet and multiple industrial rooms, DRUMSHEDS will be the biggest space of its kind in London, and have the potential to be continuously reconfigured into new and innovative spatial environments. As always, Broadwick will also leave the features and layout of the warehouse intact, with guests being able to see the building's old lift shafts, loading bays, and machinery.

“Broadwick’s mission has always been to build brands that deliver unrivalled, live experiences that create real impact,” Simeon Aldred, director of strategy, said. “We are proud to announce DRUMSHEDS, set to be London’s most impactful cultural space of its kind, set across 608,000 sqft in North London. We want Drumsheds, like all the spaces we create, to be new centres of cultural gravity that provide the basis for human connection. A connection that people crave now more than ever.”

The DRUMSHEDS programme will take inspiration from Printworks — voted 2nd in DJ Mag’s Top 100 Clubs 2023 — which pushed the concept of the daytime show for a safer and more accessible event experience. Now closed for redevelopment along with the surrounding area, Broadwick plans to reopen Printworks in 2026.

The superclub’s final party for the foreseeable future took place on 1st May with surprise guests Bicep closing out the Press Halls on a line-up that included Peggy Gou, Dixon, Róisín Murphy, I. JORDAN & SHERELLE, Shy One, and more.

The DRUMSHEDS opening programme will be announced soon. In the meantime, you can sign up to the mailing list to keep up to date with news.
