Premiere: J. Albert ‘Court’

The prolific New York artist steps up on Couldn't Care More with five cuts of shapeshifting, dubwise electronic music

Premiere: J Albert ‘Court’

J. Albert will release a new EP, ‘config’, via Couldn't Care More this month. Listen to ‘Court’ below.

The prolific New York-based producer – who only recently announced he was taking a break from releasing music  – follows his incredible four-part ‘Good Music Mixtape’ series with five more tracks that demonstrate his singular take on electronic sound. Like much of his catalogue, the music on ‘config’ is a shapeshifting blend of dub techno, glitchy house and breaks, amorphous ambience and more. It’s a distinctive style he’s been honing for over seven years now; from the frenetic beats of ‘Armor’ and smoked-out Burialisms of ‘config5’ to the ghostly electro hum of ‘Court’, each piece sounds unquestionably his own, no matter how far they swing into uncharted territory.

‘config’ will be released on 24th March. Pre-order it here, and dive into J Albert’s extensive Bandcamp catalogue here.
