Premiere: LUXE ‘Rocket Girl’

LUXE debuts on Planet Euphorique with five tracks of star-gazing house and techno

Premiere: LUXE ‘Rocket Girl’

LUXE will release a new EP, 'Mineral & Moss', via Planet Euphorique this month. Listen to ‘Rocket Girl’ below.

The London-based DJ and producer follows appearances on HAAi and Alice Pelly’s Radical New Theory imprint, Needs and Control Freak with five tracks demonstrating her bright, hybridised sound. Gliding through lush expanses of trance, techno, house and beyond, ‘Mineral & Moss’ is a magic carpet ride through tempos, moods and timbres, propelled by buoyant bass grooves, bouncy drums and glimmering melodies.

It’s a perfect fit for D.Tiffany’s Planet Euphorique catalogue, which specialises in bringing a lightness of touch and a splash of luminosity to Berlin’s often dark n’ gnarly techno landscape.

"I wrote the Planet Euphorique record after a beautiful weekend in Berlin,” said LUXE about the release. “It flowed really well and I pretty much wrote the whole EP in a week or two, with additional time over the coming months for fine tuning."

That sense of intuitive creativity and play is evident in ‘Rocket Girl’, a track that moves with a stomping deep house crunch before switching things up in the second half to become a star-gazing acid house roller.

‘Mineral & Moss’ will be released on 31st March. Pre-order it here.
