Melati ESP will release her debut solo album, ‘hipernatural’, this month via Carpark Records. Listen to ‘ENERGI’ below.

The Indonesia-born, New York-based artist conjures 12 blissful tracks that blend elements of dream pop, Japanese new age, classic jungle and hazy deep house into one lush collection. Co-produced with long-term collaborator Kaazi  (who has previously released on labels like 100% Silk and Asa Tone), the album prominently features Melati’s own vocals, which she sings in Indonesian for the first time.

It’s a stunning suite, all sparkling atmospheres and colourful flourishes. Subtly Drexciyan beats and bass growls ascend into glittery house and ambient atmospheres; acid squiggles stretch like aurora borealis across skyscraping clouds of synth; gossamer vocals glitch and glide over light-snapping drums. The world Melati ESP builds with these tracks is one you’ll want to stay in for a long, long time.

‘hipernatural’ will be released on 28th April. Pre-order it here.
