Queer party and label Big Dyke Energy announce debut festival with Eris Drew, Octo Octa, Yazzus, more

London queer party and record label Big Dyke Energy are putting on their first-ever festival in Bristol this summer.

On 10th June, the collective will take over Lakota for a 12-hour party open-air day party. Eris Drew and Octo Octa are confirmed for a back-to-back set, joined by Yazzus, Angel D'lite, LCY, Ellie Stokes and Fliss Mayo. BDE heads Melo and Elliott (who forms one half of FAFF with Orny) will also play.

"We're both buzzing to bring the energy and vibe of our London parties to my home city of Bristol and showcase some of the best artists in underground dance music," Melo said. "It's a true celebration of diversity and individuality, where the LGBTQIA+ community and allies can come together to feel free!"

Outside of their own festival, Big Dyke Energy will be partnering with GALA and featuring at Waterworks this summer in London.

In October last year, FAFF released the 'fisting our way to heaven' remix of Ugly Drugless's track 'Titties'. In November 2021, BDE teamed up with Daytimers to release a LGBTQIA+ benefit compilation featuring the likes of I. JORDAN, Manuka Honey and Enayet.
