L’Rain has announced a new album, ‘I Killed Your Dog’, for release via Mexican Summer. Watch the video for the second single, ‘Pet Rock’ below.

Arriving on 13th October, the self-professed “anti-break-up record” will be the first long-length release from the American multi-instrumentalist, composer and curator since 2021’s ‘Fatigue’.

The album’s second single, ‘Pet Rock’ is out now (23rd August) and follow's last month's 'New Year's UnResolution'. It arrives alongside a Studio Jojo-directed music video set in a miniature dolls house. Described in press material as the artist’s “boldest statement to date”, it offers a reintroduction to the artist’s unique blend of indie dad rock and experimental electronics.

“‘Pet Rock’ is a song I wrote a long time ago but reminds me of moments on tour when I threatened to introduce my band as The Strokes because I’m a troll and I love them,” L’Rain shared on Instagram. “It’s a morose ode to the white dad rock I never listened to.”

‘I Killed Your Dog’ is out 13th October on Mexican Summer. Watch the video for ‘Pet Rock’ below.
